Michael Carley, Sr.

Michael Carley, Sr. is a Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income Credit at BTIG. Prior to BTIG, he was the Head of Credit Sales and Trading at Hunt Financial. Previously, Mr. Carley was responsible for High-Yield and Distressed Securities at Mizuho. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Lutetium Capital. Mr. Carley was also Head of Trading at Trilogy Capital. In addition, he was Co-Head of Global Distressed Debt at UBS and held a similar role at Bear Stearns. Mr. Carley began his career as a Risk Arbitrage/Distressed-Debt Analyst at Halcyon Capital. He also served as a Captain in the United States Army. Mr. Carley earned an MA and a BA in economics from Rutgers University.
