Richard J. Blank, Jr.

Richard J. Blank, Jr. is a Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Securities at BTIG. He manages the firm’s team of global sales traders across the U.S., Europe, Asia and Australia. Mr. Blank joined the company in 2003 as part of Bass Trading, a predecessor company of BTIG. Previously, he was a Senior Sales Trader within the Equity division at Goldman Sachs. Earlier in his career, Mr. Blank was Head of Sales Trading at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg (SLK), which was later acquired by Goldman Sachs. He spent four years as Head of Sales Trading at Sherwood Securities. Mr. Blank began his career in financial services as a Sales Trader at SLK (formerly Troster Singer) in 1991. He also practiced corporate law with Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith and Davis. Mr. Blank received a BA from Muhlenberg College, and a JD from St. John’s University.
